Celebration Caps Perfect First Week With 4-2 Win Over Colonial
It has been quite a week for the Celebration baseball team. Coming into the season, no team ever really knows how good they are going to be. While it is early on, the Storn showed they were prepared coming out of the gates, capping a perfect 3-0 week with a 4-2 win over Colonial Thursday.
Steven Castaneda picked up the win for the Storm going five strong innings. Castaneda gave up only one run and three hits, while striking out five. Cooper White notched the save, going the final two innings.
Lead-off hitter Adrian Ramos was a catalyst for Celebration, picking up three hits and scoring three of the Storms four runs. Ramos also had an RBI on the day. Cooper White picked an RBI in the seventh to give the Storm an insurance run.
Celebration has a two game week next week, hosting Harmony on Monday and traveling to Wekiva Thursday. Colonial is looking at a three game homestand next week, with Umatilla, Freedom, and East Ridge all coming in.
