Down 3-1, the Highlanders led off the top of the seventh with a walk by Matt Morgan. Luke Henson reached by a hit-by-pitch. After a wild pitch, Morgan scored on an error before Logan Jamieson singled to bring in pinch-runner Lucas Kamal to even it at 3-3. Two batters later, Jaylen Townsend singled and moved all the way to third on an error that allowed Jamieson to score the go-ahead run. Joe Cosgrove’s sacrifice fly plated Townsend to close out the scoring.
A throwing error allowed Max Clark to score in the top of the fourth to give Lake Highland Prep the 1-0 lead.
Two errors by Lake Highland Prep led to two runs for Nature Coast in the top of the fifth, and another error in the sixth allowed Nature Coast to take a 3-1 lead.
Townsend finished 2-for-4 with a run to lead the Highlanders. Clark and Jamieson had the only other hits.
